About these terms

These Terms of Use govern your use of Velocity, a personal journaling, reflection, and planning app provided by Jason Ogden. By using Velocity, you agree to these terms. For support or questions, email jasonogdenfl@gmail.com.

Your account and use

Provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in details secure, and use only accounts you are authorized to access. Do not misuse the service, interfere with its security, bypass purchase verification or usage limits, or submit content you have no right to use. You must be legally able to agree to these terms; if you are a minor, a parent or guardian must approve your use. Velocity is not intended for children under 13.

Your content and AI features

You retain your rights to the journals, recordings, goals, and other content you submit. You authorize Velocity and its service providers to process that content as necessary to provide the features you use, including transcription, task suggestions, personal insights, and history retrieval. AI-generated output may be inaccurate or incomplete. Review suggestions before relying on them. Velocity does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice and is not an emergency service.

7-day free trial, yearly and monthly plans

Velocity offers two auto-renewing subscriptions with the same features: Yearly, US $79.99 per year, and Monthly, US $9.99 per month, in the US App Store. Eligible new subscribers can start a 7-day free trial of either plan. When the trial ends, the plan you chose renews at its price for each billing period, one year or one month, until you cancel. The applicable localized price, billing period, and trial eligibility are shown in the App Store purchase confirmation before you agree. Apple determines introductory-offer eligibility. A trial starts only after you confirm the store purchase. You can change plans in your Apple subscription settings, and Apple applies the change under its rules.

Renewal, cancellation, and refunds

Payment is charged to your Apple Account. A yearly subscription renews for another year at the yearly price, and a monthly subscription renews each month at the monthly price. Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or current billing period ends. Your account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel in iPhone Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app or your Velocity account does not cancel your subscription. Apple handles refund requests under its policies and applicable law. Restore Purchase checks purchases associated with the Apple Account used for the original purchase.

Fair use

Your subscription is meant for everyday personal journaling and includes a fair-use limit that keeps Velocity sustainable: up to 3 journal entries in any 24 hours, up to 60 in any 30 days, and up to 15 minutes of audio per voice entry. If you reach a limit, Velocity tells you, your entry stays saved on your device, and you can submit it once the limit resets.

Reminders

Daily and trial reminders are optional and require notification permission. Their delivery depends on your device, settings, and operating system and is not guaranteed. You remain responsible for cancelling before renewal if you do not want to be charged.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Velocity reliable, but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or particular personal outcomes. Features may change, and maintenance or technical failures may interrupt service. Beta and TestFlight versions may contain errors or change without notice. Store sandbox transactions follow Apple's testing rules and may use accelerated billing periods.

Ending use and deleting data

You may stop using Velocity at any time. Use Delete account in Settings or email jasonogdenfl@gmail.com to request account deletion. Deletion removes account data as described in the Privacy Policy and cannot be undone once completed. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address security threats, unlawful activity, or serious violations of these terms.

Your rights and updates

Nothing in these terms excludes consumer rights or liabilities that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Apple’s applicable App Store terms also govern your store purchases. We may update these terms as the service changes, indicate the updated date, and provide additional notice of material changes where required. Contact jasonogdenfl@gmail.com with any questions.
